Acne-Prone Skin Regimen 2013

"The power of makeup. I'm gonna show this to my kids some day to let them know everyone can be beautiful but it's the inside that really needs to be beautify. There are many people out there that may use makeup to look beautiful but are really hateful towards others. In a sense, makeup is just a mask. Beautiful mind, beautiful soul. Positive attitude is what keeps me going." - Instagram/@Mitchie_la

I wanted clearer skin so that my acne scars would finally heal and I think I've found my solution. Here is what I used for my Acne-Prone Skin Regimen for the year 2013.

My Solution

1) Cleanser:

The Body Shop® TEA TREE Skin Clearing Facial Wash
Product Description:
This daily-use facial wash for blemished skin gives clearer-looking skin when used as part of a regular regime.
  • Removes excess oil without over-drying skin
  • Helps remove impurities
  • Gentle enough for daily use

2) Treatment:

2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide by Acne.org
Product Description:
2.5% benzoyl peroxide acne treatment. Gel-based, so it goes on clear and spreads easily. Pharmaceutical grade, pH balanced, fragrance free, and dye free. Won't "clump up" with moisturizers, and won't turn white when you perspire. Created especially for The Regimen. Studies show that 2.5% benzoyl peroxide works as well as 10% solutions, without the excessive dryness and irritation.

3) ALWAYS moisturize.

POND'S® Clarant B3 - Normal to Oily
OR
POND'S® Clarant B3 - Normal to Dry

Formulated with a complex of Vitamins B3 and C, this daily moisturizer fights discoloration to visibly diminish dark spots in 4 weeks, so skin looks more even toned and radiant.

And that, everyone, is my current regimen. If you've tried any of these products before, let me know how you liked or disliked the skin care product. If you've never tried any of these products but are now interested in trying them, I highly recommend all the products mentioned above. If you are now trying out this regimen, let me know if it worked for you. Remember, skin problems change as you get older. If a product that you've been using doesn't work for you anymore, that means it is time for a change.

Until the next discovery, stay interested.
